The sixth Wolfskuil is the first solo release by label
co-owner Darko Esser. It is a collection of tracks
compiled for a special reason. This record is
dedicated to his recently deceized mother… ‘Laku
Noc’ means ‘Sleep well’ in Yugoslavian, the country
from which she originated. It’s his way of saying
thanks for all the support and love she gave him over
the years. The A-side kicks off with ‘Wish you were
here’, a very dancefloor orientated track with deep
synth stabs, quirky high pitched percussion and a
driving groove. ‘Laku Noc’ is the first piece of music
Darko made after his mother passed away.. On the
flipside you´ll find two versions of ‘13’. The night mix
(Noc) is about as dark and irie as it gets. The
pounding rhythms, crazy noises and heavy rave stabs
are not for the faint at heart. A long breakdown
introduces the apocalyptic theme of the track,
drowned in delay and reverb. And then…. The beat
drops!..
